Nominating Committee Announces Candidates for 2010-2011

The 2010 Columbia-Willamette Nominating Committee is charged with selecting nominees for all the elected offices in the chapter. The committee met to identify candidates, considering participation in chapter activities, current office holders, and others who expressed interest. While the committee tried to get more than one candidate for each office, this year all nominees will be running unopposed in their positions.

The committee, Clark Vermillion, Jamal AbuSneineh and Scott Peabody, are grateful for those members who stepped up to serve and proudly announce the nominees for 2010-2011 along with brief biographical information (for those who have submitted them).

In 2009 he helped guide the first Cintas location to recognition from any OSHA when Oregon OSHA granted the Portland Document Management Facility SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) status in August after nearly 14 months of working with consultation. He is currently working on a SHARP partnership agreement with Oregon OSHA for all locations in the state, with his Tacoma facility on their VPP application, and with his Calgary location for COR (Certificate of Recognition). This past year he also became an OSHA authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer through the University of Washington. He will be conducting a PDC 10 Hour General Industry OSHA training in March for the Chapter. Outside of work Luke enjoys running and completed his 5th marathon in 2009 in Portland.
